Riverine Flood Alert Yellow Level in effect

The Trinidad and To­ba­go Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal Of­fice(Met Of­fice) says Trinidad and To­ba­go will ex­pe­ri­ence part­ly cloudy / cloudy con­di­tions with oc­ca­sion­al show­ers and ex­tend­ed pe­ri­ods of light rain.

In its 6am bul­letin the Met Of­fice said there is the high (70%) chance of thun­der­storms favour­ing Trinidad dur­ing the morn­ing and ear­ly af­ter­noon.

It said con­di­tions are ex­pect­ed to grad­u­al­ly set­tle by mid-af­ter­noon to give a most­ly fair evening and night de­spite a few lin­ger­ing show­ers.

The Met Of­fice said gusty winds and street/flash flood­ing are like­ly in the event of a heavy down­pour.

There is a River­ine Flood Alert #1 – Yel­low Lev­el in ef­fect.
