Officers from the North Central Division Task Force swiftly recovered a stolen vehicle just minutes after a robbery in Arouca on Wednesday.
According to a media release issued by the T&T Police Service yesterday, at 7 am, police constables Rochford and Slack responded to a robbery report involving a white Nissan Tiida. The vehicle was reportedly stolen from its owner, a 70-year-old man, at Cemetery Street, Five Rivers, Arouca.
Accompanied by the victim, the officers proceeded to Cemetery Street, where they discovered the abandoned car. The vehicle had visible damage to its front left side. Further investigations led to the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect. Both the suspect and the recovered vehicle were taken to the Arouca Police Station for additional inquiries.
