A 49-year-old teacher has been charged with pos­ses­sion of nar­cotics for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent at St Julien Pres­by­ter­ian School, Princes Town.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, around 2.10 pm on Tues­day, of­fi­cers were on ex­er­cise in the Princes Town dis­trict when they re­spond­ed to a re­port at the school. Po­lice said they searched the teacher, who lives at Re­form Vil­lage, and found a quan­ti­ty of co­caine on his per­son. The drugs weighed 3.2 grams.

The man was ar­rest­ed and tak­en to the Princes Town Po­lice Sta­tion, where he was charged.
