Today's 9.30 am sailing of the T&T Express from the Port of Scarborough was delayed for three hours due to a problem with the compressor, Vilma Lewis- Cockburn, head of Marketing and Public Relations at the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, has confirmed.
Lewis-Cockburn told Guardian Media Ltd, "It's a small issue with the compressor and it will take three hours to rectify, so by 1 pm we will sail."
But at 2 pm, some passengers travelling to Trinidad for this evening’s final Caribbean Premier League cricket match between the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Guyana Amazon Warriors were still seated in the port's Scarborough lounge area and grew anxious that they might not get to the match for its 5 pm start.
