An anti-crime exercise in the Southern Division between 4 pm and 10 pm on Friday, led to the arrest of three persons—including a Venezuelan national—and the seizure of four AK-47 assault rifles, 11 magazines, and a quantity of cannabis.
A 30-year-old Venezuelan who resides at Harmony Hall, Marabella, was arrested while in possession of the four AK-47 assault rifles and 11 magazines and charged with trafficking in firearms.
In addition, a 46-year-old unemployed man from Hilltop Drive, Claxton Bay was charged for possession of cannabis.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old from Orange Field Road, Lion Drive, Carapichama, also was charged with possession of cannabis.
