Three men were arrested in connection with a robbery that took place at the Suarez Brothers Circus, Endeavour Avenue, Chaguanas, on October 29.
In a release yesterday, the T&T Police Service (TTPS) commended officers who participated in the intelligence-led operation in Chaguanas, which took place between 6.15 pm and 10.15 pm on Saturday.
During the exercise, officers of the Chaguanas CID arrested three male suspects, aged 20 to 32, of Claxton Bay, in connection with the incident.
On October 29 at 8.10 pm, Ruben Suarez, along with other employees, was at the circus site at Endeavour Avenue, Chaguanas, when four gunmen in a white Nissan B15 drove in and began shooting.
The circus had just concluded its last show and personnel were already packed and awaiting transport to leave the country for Jamaica.
Police said Suarez was about to pay employees when the gunmen robbed him of his passport and other personal documents, along with $30,000 in cash.
Two employees were also robbed of $2,800.
