A Tobago minor is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to store breaking and larceny in Crown Point.
The 13-year-old boy was charged after the incident was reported to police on November 17.
He was among five men charged with serious offences last week.
The other cases also involved younger men and a middle-aged man.
Among them, 21-year-old Kody Bailey of Mt St George who was charged with robbery with violence and other offences. He pleaded not guilty and was denied bail in the Scarborough Court.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Jaheim Greig, also of Mt St George, pleaded guilty to breaking into homes and stealing. He was sentenced to three months hard labour for one charge, with sentencing for another pending.
In separate cases, 44-year-old Desearn James of Buccoo was granted bail after being charged with larceny, while 23-year-old Mossiah Villafana, of La Brea, was denied bail on a charge of robbery with aggravation.
This comes less than a week after Senior Superintendent Earl Elie warned parents that the police will not hesitate to arrest anyone, including children found loitering, and take them before the courts.
At the police town hall meeting in Black Rock, Elie further spoke of an alarming trend where children are linked to some of Tobago’s most serious crimes, pointing out that children as young as 13 years old are being charged with serious offences.
