An in­de­pen­dent can­di­date in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA)

Jan­u­ary 25 elec­tions is be­ing treat­ed at the hos­pi­tal.

An­tho­ny Hec­tor who is vy­ing for the Black Rock/Whim/Spring Gar­den elec­toral dis­trict suf­fered a stroke on Sat­ur­day, Jan­u­ary 9.

This was con­firmed by To­ba­go health of­fi­cials.

Hec­tor, a for­mer me­dia prac­ti­tion­er, is fac­ing- off against the Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment’s new­com­er Kelvon Mor­ris and the Pro­gres­sive De­mo­c­ra­t­ic Pa­tri­ots Ab­by Tay­lor.

Hec­tor is one of four in­de­pen­dent can­di­dates in the THA race.

The oth­ers are for­mer THA Com­mu­ni­ty De­vel­op­ment and Cul­ture Sec­re­tary and for­mer PNM Pub­lic Re­la­tions Of­fi­cer Dr Denise Tsoiafatt-An­gus-can­di­date for the Scar­bor­ough/Calder Hall dis­trict, Nick­o­cy Phillips, and Ri­car­do Phillip.
