An independent candidate in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA)
January 25 elections is being treated at the hospital.
Anthony Hector who is vying for the Black Rock/Whim/Spring Garden electoral district suffered a stroke on Saturday, January 9.
This was confirmed by Tobago health officials.
Hector, a former media practitioner, is facing- off against the People’s National Movement’s newcomer Kelvon Morris and the Progressive Democratic Patriots Abby Taylor.
Hector is one of four independent candidates in the THA race.
The others are former THA Community Development and Culture Secretary and former PNM Public Relations Officer Dr Denise Tsoiafatt-Angus-candidate for the Scarborough/Calder Hall district, Nickocy Phillips, and Ricardo Phillip.
