Tobago records single highest new COVID cases

There are 52 new COVID-19 cas­es in To­ba­go. This is the high­est num­ber of cas­es record­ed in a 24-hour pe­ri­od since March 2020.

The To­ba­go Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty (TRHA) re­vealed the new sta­tis­tics in a Ju­ly 22nd news re­lease.

Ac­cord­ing to the Au­thor­i­ty, there is an­oth­er COVID-re­lat­ed death, bring­ing the to­tal num­ber of deaths record­ed in To­ba­go to 32. The de­ceased is said to be an 83-year-old male with co­mor­bidi­ties.

So far, there are 288 ac­tive COVID cas­es in To­ba­go, three in the hos­pi­tal's In­ten­sive Care Unit, 30 in state iso­la­tion, and 255 in home iso­la­tion.

Vac­ci­na­tions ad­min­is­tered so far to­tals 11,683, with the num­ber of peo­ple who are ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed now at 9,189, the TRHA re­port­ed in its re­lease.
