Tobagonian contractor and golfer Shuffie Ali, 62, has offered the services of his excavator to do work in his community of Pembroke. Ali made the offer at a town meeting at the Pembroke Community Centre last night which was attended by THA (Tobago House of Assembly) Chief Secretary Farley Augustine.
Ali said he is willing to make the excavator available free of charge for one week to do work near the community centre for the development of his community. Ali also offered his expertise in dealing with the landslide situation at Bad Rock.
Augustine praised Ali for his willingness to assist even though the THA has not yet paid him for the layby constructed for Tobago’s Carnival in October 2022 at Milford Road.
But Ali said he has lived at Doctor Road, Pembroke for almost 40 years and saw the need to give back.
