The last four To­ba­go Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty's (TRHA) em­ploy­ees, who were sent home on ad­min­is­tra­tive leave pend­ing the com­ple­tion of an in­de­pen­dent pay­roll au­dit, will re­turn to work on De­cem­ber 10.

Sev­en em­ploy­ees, from the Fi­nance, Hu­man Re­sources, and In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy De­part­ments, were sent on leave on March 19, this year with full pay and ben­e­fits.

The au­thor­i­ty said then it need­ed to con­duct an "in­de­pen­dent re­view... to man­age the TRHA’s ex­pen­di­ture in a more ef­fi­cient man­ner."

Con­firm­ing the em­ploy­ees' re­turn, the au­thor­i­ty's Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Shel­don Cyrus said, "four man­agers and one oth­er em­ploy­ee will re­run to work to­mor­row (De­cem­ber 10)."

He said the three oth­er em­ploy­ees, who were on ad­min­is­tra­tive leave, had al­ready re­turned to work.

Asked about the au­dit's find­ings, Cyrus said: " We are still look­ing at it ."

In Ju­ly, Health Sec­re­tary Agatha Car­ring­ton told the me­dia Cyrus had the re­port.

She said then con­tents could be made avail­able "very prompt­ly."

Mean­while, the TRHA an­nounced it hired a Hos­pi­tal Ad­min­is­tra­tor.

" The Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and Fam­i­ly De­vel­op­ment wel­comes Mr Ku­mar Boodram, Hos­pi­tal Ad­min­is­tra­tor," the di­vi­sion said on its Face­book page, on De­cem­ber 9.
