Trinidad and Tobago’s death toll for COVID-19 has crossed the three-thousand mark, with 18 new deaths pushing the total to 3,010 lives lost, the Ministry of Health reported in its update for Friday 7 January 2022.
974 people have tested positive for the disease, the Ministry of Health says, based on samples taken between 1st and 6th January 2022. These new cases bring the total active COVID-19 cases in the country to 16,119.
The Ministry also reports that at present, 48.1 per cent of the population has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
