The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Air Vice Marshal Darryl Daniel for more than 37 years of distinguished service as Chief of Defence Staff.
The TTDF praised his leadership, dedication, and invaluable contribution to the nation’s security framework, noting his professionalism, loyalty, and steadfast commitment to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
Air Vice Marshal Daniel’s appointment was revoked yesterday by the Government, making way for Captain (Naval) Don Polo, who has been appointed as the new Chief of Defence Staff. Captain Polo brings over 32 years of service and a wealth of operational experience to the role.
The TTDF reaffirmed its mandate to protect and defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, while continuing to support the government and citizens in the pursuit of peace, stability, and national development.
