T&TEC maintenance works to affect water supply in North-East Trinidad

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (the Au­thor­i­ty) has ad­vised cus­tomers in parts of North-West Trinidad served by the Tuck­er Val­ley Pump­ing Sta­tion that there will be an in­ter­rup­tion in their wa­ter sup­ply on Thurs­day be­tween the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. due to planned main­te­nance work by the Trinidad and To­ba­go Elec­tric­i­ty Com­mis­sion (T&TEC) that will im­pact op­er­a­tions at the fa­cil­i­ty.

In a me­dia re­lease, WASA said the af­fect­ed ar­eas are along the West­ern Main Road from Teteron Bar­racks, Ch­aguara­mas, to La Hor­quette Val­ley Road, Glen­coe, in­clud­ing, Abbe Pou­jade Street, Haig Street, School Street, L’Anse Mi­tan, Big Yard, Amowsville, Sano­ra Park, La Hor­quette Branch Road, The Park, Gulf View Dri­ve and Glen­coe.

WASA al­so said it may take up to 8 hours for the ser­vice to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas fol­low­ing the re­sump­tion of op­er­a­tions at the fa­cil­i­ty.
