A Santa Cruz man has been arrested after he pulled a firearm and threatened T&TEC workers.

Reports say the crew was in La Canoe, Santa Cruz on a routine job when they witnessed an illegal electricity connection.

They stopped and disconnected it.

However, the owner of the home came out and allegedly pointed a gun at the T&TEC workers and ordered them to restore his illegal connection.

They contacted the police and upon arrival the man was arrested.

Corporate Communications Manager at T&TEC Annabelle Brasnell told Guardian Media that the workers will receive counselling.
