The executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Policer Service recognised the had work and dedication of thirteen of 13 officers earlier today. The ceremony took place at the Police Administration building in POS. Ten of the officers from the special branch unit were commended for their extensive work which resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of Ketamine drug valued at over $8 million on January 25th.
The other three who are members of the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF) were commended for their decisiveness and critical thinking on June 1st which resulted in a 14-year-old girl’s life being saved from a tragic end.

The Executive of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) recognised the hard work and dedication of 13 officers earlier today. The ceremony which took place at the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain highlighted three groups of officers for their exemplary performance.
Commissioner of Police (Ag.) McDonald Jacob presented instruments of appointment to W/Sgt. Allison Joseph and Sgts. Brian Daniel and Eric Knutt, in recognition of their promotion to the rank of Inspector. Ten members of the Special Branch Unit were also acknowledged for their extensive work that resulted in the historic seizure of a large quantity of Ketamine drug valued at over $8 million on January 25th, 2022.
It was the first find of its kind in the country and resulted in one man being charged. CoP (Ag.) Jacob, in addressing the officers, stressed that although the work was part of their normal duties, there were far-reaching positive outcomes for the Service and the country that couldn’t be quantified due to the huge impact made on transnational crime.
He also commended three members of the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF) whose decisiveness and critical thinking on June 1st, 2022, resulted in a 14-year-old girl’s life being saved from a tragic end.
