Two secondary school students from T&T will fly to West Virginia in the United States for the 2023 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp) which runs between June 19 to July 12.
The U.S. Embassy in collaboration with the National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) selected the two students.
The students are Amarnath Choon of Shiva Boys’ Hindu School and Daniel Sebro of Queen’s Royal College. The student’s attendance is supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the National Youth Science Foundation. This year applications were accepted from students 16-18 years old from across the country.
The NYSCamp is a residential science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program in the eastern mountains of West Virginia, United States. The camp is designed to honour and challenge rising STEM leaders and provide them with opportunities to engage with professionals in the field.
