The United National Congress (UNC) says that it is on track for the General Elections, following a continuation of the screening process for selecting candidates, on Tuesday 26th May 2020.
According to a statement issued by the party this morning, nominees for 12 more constituencies were screened, yesterday. Several other nominees already were screened and named previously, before the COVID-19 crisis began in Trinidad and Tobago.
The party is expected to hold its second Virtual Meeting on Thursday 28th May 2020, from 7.30 pm.
UNC Political Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC MP, is expected to announce the names of more UNC candidates, at that meeting, in addition to revealing more of the party’s plans for National Economic Transformation, outlining how it intends to create jobs and to get T&T working again.
The meeting is scheduled to be broadcast on the UNC’s Facebook page, as well as on the Facebook page for the UNC political leader.
