Career Day at Valencia RC/Government Primary School is more than just a date on the calendar—it is a vital experience that plays a key role in shaping the pupils’ futures.

This annual event is designed to inspire and guide young minds, equipping them with insights essential for their personal growth and future aspirations.

So said the principal Ann Sambrano at the event held last week at the school.

“It is a day dedicated to broadening pupils’ horizons, sparking their imaginations, and helping them to focus on the future.”

The principal said this year’s Career Day, with the theme “Imagine, Believe, and Achieve,” was a “resounding success.”

She added, “We were privileged to host over 40 professionals from diverse fields, who took the time to engage with pupils, share their career journeys, and inspire them to think about their own futures.”

The pupils got the opportunity to interact with doctors, engineers, educators, artists, and many others who shared their knowledge and experiences. It was a day filled with excitement, curiosity, and valuable insights.

“Seeing our students’ eyes light up as they learned about various professions was a heartwarming reminder of why Career Day is so vital,” Sambrano said.

Sambrano pointed out that the theme was carefully chosen because it encapsulates what principals and teachers hope to instil in their students: The courage to imagine their dream careers, the confidence to believe in their abilities, and the resilience to achieve their goals.

She is grateful for the support of the professionals who volunteered their time, as well as the efforts of the teachers, staff, and community who made the day possible.

“Together, we have given our students not just a day of learning but a lifelong inspiration to dream big and strive for success,” she expressed. “We want them to understand that, with perseverance and the power of prayer, anything is possible. With God’s guidance and the strength to persevere, our pupils will indeed achieve great things.”

As she continues to guide her pupils on their educational journeys, she is confident that the seeds of inspiration planted today will grow into a bright future for each one of them.
