A 31-year-old Venezue­lan man is be­ing treat­ed for gun­shot wounds af­ter he was at­tacked in Care­nage ear­ly on Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

The TTPS said of­fi­cers of the West­ern Di­vi­sion re­ceived a re­port of gun­shots near Par­adise Bar on the West­ern Main Road, at around 3.30 am and went to the scene.

On reach­ing the scene they found the man bleed­ing from gun­shot wounds to his chest and leg.

Of­fi­cers took the wound­ed man to hos­pi­tal where he was treat­ed.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors tried speak­ing with the man but said he did not un­der­stand much Eng­lish.

Care­nage po­lice are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
