WASA advises service disruption north-east Trinidad

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) has ad­vised that cus­tomers in parts of north east Trinidad, served by the Hol­lis Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant there will be an in­ter­rup­tion in their pipe-borne wa­ter sup­ply from 6 pm on Sun­day 26 Feb­ru­ary, to 6 am on Mon­day 27 Feb­ru­ary. In a re­lease, WASA said this has be­come nec­es­sary, in or­der to fa­cil­i­tate pipeline in­ter­con­nec­tion works at the cor­ner of Aripo Road and East­ern Main Road, Aripo, which is as­so­ci­at­ed with bring­ing the new Aripo Well #1 in­to ser­vice. 

When com­plet­ed, this will pro­vide an ad­di­tion­al 450,000 gal­lons of wa­ter per day in­to the Hol­lis trans­mis­sion pipeline sys­tem, which will im­prove the re­li­a­bil­i­ty of sup­ply to cus­tomers served by the Hol­lis Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant.
