The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty has said it will be car­ry­ing out pipeline in­ter­con­nec­tion works at the cor­ner of Aripo Road and East­ern Main Road, Aripo, to­day and to­mor­row, which will re­sult in wa­ter sup­ply in­ter­rup­tions and ne­ces­si­tate traf­fic di­ver­sions.

An ad­vi­so­ry is­sued by the Au­thor­i­ty says the work is be­ing done in or­der to bring on­line the new Aripo Well #2.

“When com­plet­ed, this will pro­vide an ad­di­tion­al 300,000 gal­lons of wa­ter per day in­to the Hol­lis trans­mis­sion pipeline sys­tem, which will im­prove the re­li­a­bil­i­ty of sup­ply to cus­tomers served by the Hol­lis Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant,” WASA ex­plained.

How­ev­er, while the work is be­ing car­ried out, parts of North-East Trinidad served by the Hol­lis Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant will ex­pe­ri­ence an in­ter­rup­tion in the wa­ter sup­ply from 6 pm on Wednes­day to 6 am to­mor­row.

■   Town of Ari­ma (all ar­eas South of Broad­way in­clu­sive of Lawrence Park)

■   O’Meara Road (from Churchill Roo­sevelt High­way to Sier­ra Vista Street)

■   Sama­roo Vil­lage * Christi­na Gar­dens

■   Leo­taud Lands * Dar­will Gar­dens

■   Galaxy Gar­dens/Boys Lane * Mau­si­ca Road

■   La Re­source * Time Haven De­vel­op­ment

■   Bre­gon Park * Cleaver Road

■   Bon Air Gar­dens * Parts of Arou­ca

■   KP Lands, Va­len­cia * Chick­land, Waller­field

WASA is re­mind­ing its cus­tomers that it may take up to 24 hours for the sched­uled pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply to nor­malise to some ar­eas af­ter the com­ple­tion of these works.

WASA said a lim­it­ed truck borne ser­vice will be avail­able with pri­or­i­ty to Health In­sti­tu­tions, Gov­ern­ment Agen­cies and Homes for the Aged.
