An 18-year-old woman was yes­ter­day placed on a one-year bond af­ter plead­ing guilty to var­i­ous of­fences in con­nec­tion with a do­mes­tic in­ci­dent that oc­curred in Sep­tem­ber 2023.

The ac­cused, who was charged on No­vem­ber 22nd by WPC Treava­jo, of the East­ern Di­vi­sion, with Ma­li­cious Dam­age, As­sault Oc­ca­sion­ing a Wound and Lar­ce­ny, plead­ed guilty to each of­fence when she ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore Mag­is­trate Cheron Raphael.

If she breaks the bond, the woman would be fined $10,000 in de­fault. She was ar­rest­ed af­ter po­lice in­ves­ti­gat­ed a re­port in which a 66-year-old man re­port­ed to po­lice that, while at his home in East Trinidad on Sep­tem­ber 7th, 2023, a heat­ed ar­gu­ment en­sued.

Dur­ing the quar­rel, the woman threw items and dam­aged house­hold ap­pli­ances as well as the wind­shield to the man’s ve­hi­cle. The woman al­so as­sault­ed him caus­ing abra­sions to his hands. She al­so stole sev­er­al items and cash amount­ing to $11,750.

Po­lice con­duct­ed fur­ther en­quiries in­to the mat­ter which led to the 18-year-old be­ing ar­rest­ed and charged with the of­fences.
