LONDON – Barbadians Jofra Archer and Jacob Bethell made contributions as England fought back to level their best-of-five One Day International series against Australia with a mammoth 186-run victory Friday.
After losing the toss and being sent in to bat in a rain-affected contest, England piled up 312 for five after the match was reduced to 39 overs.
They were led by captain Harry Brooks, who slammed 87 from 58 balls, while Liam Livingston struck an unbeaten 62 from 27 balls and Ben Duckett made 63.
The 20-year-old Bethell finished unbeaten on 12.
Fast bowler Archer then produced the best spell of his latest comeback, taking 2-33 from seven overs, as England skittled Australia out for a paltry 126 in 24.4 overs to level the series 2-2.
Archer bowled Mitchell Marsh for 28 and had Glenn Maxwell caught behind for two to help rout the visitors.
Motthew Potts (4-38) and Brydon Carse (3-36), also wrecked havoc on the Australians.
The fifth and final ODI will be at Briston on Sunday.
