Chloe Bain emerged the top rid­er in the USEF Train­ing Lev­el Test 3, win­ning the se­nior class aboard Romeo when the T&T Eques­tri­an As­so­ci­a­tion (TTEA) host­ed its Dres­sage League two com­pe­ti­tion.

The Dres­sage, which is a high­ly skilled form of rid­ing per­formed in ex­hi­bi­tion and com­pe­ti­tion, as well as an “art” some­times pur­sued sole­ly for the sake of mas­tery, took place from Ju­ly 9-12 and was held at three sta­bles, Jeri­cho, Sad­dle Val­ley and San An­to­nio, re­spec­tive­ly.

As an eques­tri­an sport de­fined by the In­ter­na­tion­al Eques­tri­an Fed­er­a­tion, dres­sage is de­scribed as “the high­est ex­pres­sion of horse train­ing” where “horse and rid­er are ex­pect­ed to per­form from mem­o­ry a se­ries of pre­de­ter­mined move­ments.”

The com­bi­na­tion cer­tain­ly showed this to im­press the judges as Bain en­joyed a com­fort­able win ahead of An­drea Leigh, who al­so rode Romeo as they con­tin­ue their quest for points.

The Dres­sage com­pe­ti­tion in­clud­ed 16 rid­ers and 12 hors­es and they com­pet­ed in dif­fer­ent class­es from USEF Fourth Lev­el Test 1 Se­nior to US­DF In­tro­duc­to­ry Test A Ju­nior.

In the ju­nior class, Cait­lyn Se­bastien aboard Rafa was al­so im­pres­sive to nar­row­ly win ahead of Char­lotte Mack on Jel­ly Bean and in third was Myrisa Maun­dy on Viking Thun­der with Sophia Sama­roo, al­so aboard Viking Thun­der in fourth place.

The oth­er win­ners at the event were Jes­si­ca Pagee on Eye See Dee in the ju­nior class of the USEF First Lev­el Test one; in the USEF Train­ing Lev­el Test one ju­nior class Sa­fara Mar­shall aboard Mi­ramis ex­celled and in the US­DF In­tro­duc­to­ry Test, Mack on Ba­by Girl topped the "C" cat­e­go­ry while Eliz­a­beth West on Zeus and Azaria Ram­nath on Jel­ly Bean placed first in the "B" and "A" cat­e­gories, re­spec­tive­ly.

Dres­sage Del­e­gate, In­ga Ser­rette- Fletch­er, was praised by the TTEA for en­sur­ing the event ran smooth­ly and suc­cess­ful­ly. The as­so­ci­a­tion al­so recog­nised its vol­un­teers, coach­es, par­ents and sta­ble own­ers for their as­sis­tance.
