Cara­pichaima East has been pro­mot­ed to the Pow­er­Gen Sec­ondary Schools Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion I for the 2021 sea­son af­ter the school de­feat­ed Cou­va East Sec­ondary by eight wick­ets in the South Cham­pi­onship clash in Freeport on Tues­day.

Bat­ting first Cou­va East made 159 all out with M Brazul get­ting 39. A Sam­my was the pick of the bowlers for Cou­va East tak­ing 3/25. Terell Lea­cock then smashed the bowl­ing all over the park get­ting 92 as Caps reached 160 for two to take an eight-wick­et win.

St. Bene­dicts Col­lege con­tin­ued their great form as they got past St Mary's Col­lege (CIC) in their en­counter in the Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion I. CIC made 184 for nine in 50 overs with Ger­ard Chin scor­ing 40, Nick Ram­lal 26, Ke­iron John 25 and Leon Basanoo 21. St Bene­dicts then scraped home at 187 for nine with Crys­t­ian Thur­ton spear­head­ing the ef­fort with 66.

Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege was al­so in form as they top­pled de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Hillview Col­lege in their clash at UWI. San­jay Jawahir and Vanir Ma­haraj were very good with the ball as they re­strict­ed Hillview Col­lege to 120 all out.

Jawahir then scored 37 to lead the ef­fort as Pre­sen­ta­tion San Fer­nan­do reached their tar­get for the loss of sev­en wick­ets.
