The think tank of the Trinbago Knight Riders team is still pondering whether to bring in a replacement for Pakistani opening fast bowler Muhammad Hasnain, who has been called back to his home country to play in the domestic Quaid-e-Azam trophy.

Manager of the team Colin Borde told Guardian Media on Sunday that no decision has been made concerning a replacement. More than likely, there will be no replacement who can come in on time to join the team for their fifth match of the tournament against the St. Kitts/Nevis Patriots at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Tuesday.

The PCB originally gave Hasnain a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to play for the entire CPL but made an about-turn and has decided to revoke the NOC. Every player who takes part in T20 franchise leagues requires NOCs from their respective cricket boards. This is in line with the International Cricket Council (ICC) policy.

Hasnain has been good for the TKR opening the bowling and has taken six wickets in the four matches to date. He grabbed two wickets, including that of the dangerous Chris Gayle in his team's fourth successive win in Kingston on Friday night.

It is understood that the PCB is considering Hasnain for a series against Sri Lanka that is carded from September 27 to October 19 in Pakistan.

Despite finding out just three days earlier—on December 23—that I had breast cancer, I still got dressed and showed up on December 26, Boxing Day, for a birthday party. I didn’t go to escape the truth. I went to remind myself I was still here, still living, still me.
