Moesha Smith scored two tries to lead Providence Girls High School to an emphatic 40-0 mauling of Bishop’s Centenary College II, in their Round Two Secondary School Girls Rugby League match at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain on Wednesday.
Kyiala Simon added a try and four conversions for Providence in the lopsided win over their opponents who were playing their second match on the afternoon.
The trio of Patrice James, Daleisha Emmanuel and Amartis Jawahir also got a try each for the winners.
There were also wins for Tranquillity Government Secondary and debutants, San Juan North Secondary.
Tranquillity got a try apiece from Britney Collette, Aaliyah Davis, April Dopwell and Shaniya Worrell in a 20-0 trouncing of Bishop’s Centenary II, while San Juan North blanked Bishop Anstey High, 12-0 thanks to a try and conversion from Akilah Gomez, and one try by Sarah Edwards.
Matches continue next Wednesday at the same venue from 3.30 pm.
