Kern Ramdeen struck a brilliant 104 off just 23 balls as competition in the Balmain T20 cricket tournament continued on Friday night.
Ramdeen playing for Lunatics ran amok to score the century in his teams 193/3 off 10 overs. In reply, Predators were bundled out for just 29 runs losing the match by 164 runs. Ramdeen slammed 14 sixes and three fours in his epic knock.
In another clash Central All Stars narrowly defeated Assisin by four runs. Batting first they scored 80 with national player Jon Russ Jaggessar hitting 27. Assisin fell just short at 76 all out despite 26 from Keidel Glasgow.
Meanwhile, the tournament goes into recess for the impending general elections and will resume on August 12. Chairman of the tournament Mishri Lutchmedial said: "All COVID-19 rules are being observed. From our understanding, team sports can play but social distancing must be observed for spectators. We will not allow spectators to gather in groups of more than 10 in any one area. We are very serious about observing all health care regulations.
"The organising committee has also decided in light of General Elections on Monday, August 10 the competition will take one week break from Wednesday, August 5. We will restart on Wednesday 12 and all outstanding matches must be completed by August 20."
