Four dif­fer­ent play­ers were on tar­get as league-lead­ing San Juan North Sec­ondary blanked host Spey­side Sec­ondary 4-0 to re­main top of the 16-team Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) Boys’ Pre­mier Di­vi­sion at Spey­side recre­ation ground, in To­ba­go, on Wednes­day.

For the vis­it­ing San Juan North team, Ja­heem Dan­clair opened the scor­ing in the 25th minute as the Jer­ry Moe-coached lead­ers took a 1-0 lead in­to the half-time in­ter­val.

Three min­utes af­ter the restart, na­tion­al youth play­er Lin­dell Sween dou­bled San Juan North’s ad­van­tage be­fore Jahdel Chase-Charles all but se­cured the three points with his team’s third item in the 57th with Elizsha Rogers net­ting his first of the sea­son in the 65th, to cap off a per­fect out­ing for the vis­i­tors to push their points tal­ly to 24 from nine match­es, two ahead na­tion­al In­ter-Col cham­pi­on Fa­ti­ma Col­lege, who crushed ri­val Queen’s Roy­al Col­lege (QRC) 7-1 at Mu­cu­rapo Road. Fa­ti­ma was led by a hat trick from Aiden De Gannes in the 37th, 86th and 88th min­utes.

Chris­t­ian Bai­ley added a goal in each half for Fa­ti­ma as ear­ly as the fourth and then in the 54th minute while Michael Chaves (42nd) and Levi Smith (52nd) each chipped in with one to nul­li­fy Stephon James’ 23rd-minute item for QRC which briefly tied up the scores at 1-1.

For­mer four-time league cham­pi­ons Na­pari­ma Col­lege stayed a point be­hind Fa­ti­ma in the third spot thanks to a com­pre­hen­sive 4-0 spank­ing of Bish­op’s High at Lewis Street, San Fer­nan­do with Tevin Pan­tor al­so help­ing him­self to a hat trick and Josi­ah Coop­er the oth­er scor­er.

Else­where, de­fend­ing cham­pi­on St Bene­dict’s Col­lege con­tin­ued its march up the ta­ble in­to the fourth spot lev­el with Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege of San Fer­nan­do af­ter a 3-0 tri­umph in the duo match-up at Ma­haica Oval, Point Fortin be­hind a dou­ble from Mala­cai Webb and one from Jaden Grant.

In an­oth­er key match, St An­tho­ny’s Col­lege got two goals from Jean-Marc Thomas in a 2-2 draw with Mal­ick Sec­ondary who al­so got a brace from Oba Samuel at West­moor­ings.

In the oth­er match­es, Ari­ma North Sec­ondary and East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary drew blanks at the Ari­ma Mu­nic­i­pal Sta­di­um, Trin­i­ty Col­lege East trounced St Mary’s Col­lege 3-0 at Trinci­ty with Khaleem Prince scor­ing all three goals while Pleas­antville Sec­ondary de­feat­ed Ch­agua­nas North Sec­ondary 2-0 in a bat­tle win­less teams at Yolande Pom­pey recre­ation ground in Princes Town.
