Best Batsman Reyad Jerome, centre, South captain, the Best Bowler was Jaden Suerattan, left, and the Best Fieldsman was Bradley Jaggernauth. The are all players from the South team, the winnners of The Price Club sponsored North-South Classic final player the National Cricket Centre in balmain, Couva on Wednesday.

North lost six wickets for 23 runs and that allowed South to captured the Under 13 North South Classic trophy by nine wickets over North at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, Couva on Wednesday.

North captain Justin Pamphille was asked to bat first by South captain Reyad Jerome.

North was on the back foot, losing Abdiel Boland for no runs. Pamphille then joined Isaiah Johnson (27) and together they put on a 45-run partnership to take the score to 49 for two in 14 and a half overs.

Pamphille was dismissed for 15 when the score was 67 and when Davis Guerra was trapped in front of the stumps for 13, the score was 75 for four and it triggered a collapse as North lost their next six wickets for 23 runs as they were bowled out for 98 in 36.2 overs.

Skipper Jerome, Jaden Seurattan and Nityum Mongru took two wickets apiece.

South made light work of the target as openers Reyad Jerome made 45 from 73 balls and Jaden Seurattan scored 29 not out from 58 balls guided South over the line.

They were coasting and looking like registering a ten-wicket win, but with 10 runs to go for the win, Jerome was caught by Davis Guerra off the bowling of Zaheer Ali at 89 for one.

But that was the only bump in the otherwise smooth road as South captured the Under 13 North-South Classic to add to the Under 15 and 17 classics.

Rayad Jerome was named best batsman for his 45, while Bradley Jaggernauth, who took one catch and effected a run-out was the best fielder and Jaden Seurattan for his figures of two for seven runs was named the best bowler.
