Trinidad and To­ba­go winger Tyrese Spicer scored in sec­ond-half stop­page time to res­cue a point for Or­lan­do City SC in a 3-3 draw against Min­neso­ta Unit­ed FC in US Ma­jor League Soc­cer at Al­lianz Field, Saint Paul, Min­neso­ta, on Sat­ur­day night.

The Li­ons opened the scor­ing in the 28th minute when Daryl Dyke, mak­ing his first MLS start since re­turn­ing to the club this sum­mer, con­test­ed a 50-50 cross in the six-yard box be­fore out­muscling his de­fend­ers, turn­ing and fir­ing in the open­er from a nar­row an­gle.

An­toine Griez­mann dou­bled the vis­i­tors’ lead in the 64th minute af­ter Justin El­lis fil­tered a ball in tran­si­tion to the French­man to put him one-on-one with goal­keep­er Alec Smir.

The for­mer France World Cup win­ner Griez­mann calm­ly slot­ted the ball past Smir and in­to the low­er right cor­ner of the net for his fifth goal across all com­pe­ti­tions since ar­riv­ing in Or­lan­do.

The home side then flipped the score­line on its head as Mar­cus Caldeira (71st), An­tho­ny Markanich (74th), and Kevin Yeboah (75th) all struck with­in a span of four min­utes to put Min­neso­ta Unit­ed up 3-2 with a quar­ter hour re­main­ing.

How­ev­er, with the match in the third minute of stop­page time, Griez­mann picked up a pass in his own half and loft­ed a long ball down the left wing to Spicer, who drove in­to the box and fin­ished at the near post to earn his side a last-gasp point. The goal was Spicer’s eighth of the year across all com­pe­ti­tions.

Or­lan­do City will next re­turn home to In­ter.co Sta­di­um for an­oth­er con­test against a West­ern Con­fer­ence side, San Diego FC, on Sat­ur­day, Sep­tem­ber 5.

Mean­while, on Sat­ur­day, na­tion­al mid­field­er Wayne Fred­er­ick II played the first 78 min­utes in the Col­orado Rapids 1-0 win over fel­low T&T in­ter­na­tion­al Ko­bi Hen­ry’s Re­al Salt Lake to re­tain their Rocky Moun­tain Cup ti­tle.

The de­ci­sive mo­ment came in the 58th minute when the club’s most re­cent sign­ing, Youssef Maz­iz, stepped up to take the set piece, and his per­fect float in cross found a run­ning Reg­gie Can­non, who rose up and slammed home a head­er to give Col­orado the lead.

Ad­di­tion­al­ly, for­mer Rapids mid­field­er Dante Sealy fea­tured for the fi­nal 31 min­utes in CF Mon­tre­al’s 7-1 thrash­ing at the hands of In­ter Mi­a­mi, who got a beaver trick from Li­onel Mes­si.

Sealy was on­ly ac­quired by CF Mon­tréal from the Col­orado Rapids on Tues­day, Au­gust 28.

In ex­change for the 23-year-old T&T in­ter­na­tion­al, who was al­so at the Cana­di­an club in 2025, Col­orado re­ceived $1.4 mil­lion in guar­an­teed gen­er­al al­lo­ca­tion mon­ey di­vid­ed be­tween 2026 ($400,000) and 2027 ($1 mil­lion), plus $300,000 in con­di­tion­al GAM.

Sealy had five as­sists in 20 reg­u­lar-sea­son ap­pear­ances this year for the Rapids, who ac­quired him in De­cem­ber from Mon­tréal fol­low­ing a ca­reer-best 2025 cam­paign of nine goals and two as­sists in 30 match­es.

Sealy, 23, is Mon­tréal’s sec­ond of­fen­sive sum­mer sign­ing, fol­low­ing the ar­rival of Des­ig­nat­ed Play­er Alex­is Sánchez. Mon­tre­al is 14th in the East­ern Con­fer­ence with 21 points, one point off the cel­lar spot, while Col­orado sits sev­enth in the West­ern Con­fer­ence with 31 points, good for an Au­di 2026 MLS Cup Play­offs spot.
