Corneal Thomas and Kevon Fred­er­ick were both on tar­get to lead Trans­port & Cleans­ing to a nar­row 2-1 win over Cen­tral Mar­ket when the 110th an­niver­sary of the Port-of-Spain Cor­po­ra­tion Foot­ball League Tour­na­ment con­tin­ued at Nel­son Man­dela Park, St Clair on Fri­day night.

With the win, their third from four match­es, Trans­port & Cleans­ing re­gained the top spot on the sev­en-teams ta­ble with ten points, one ahead of the per­fect Cen­tral/East­ern Di­vi­sion while Cen­tral Mar­ket who got its lone re­ply from Ronal­do Burke stayed fourth with four points from three match­es.

Al­so on Fri­day, City Hall won for the first time in four match­es, a 2-0 tri­umph against City Hall with Akeem Hillaire and Jabari Raphael on tar­get for the win­ners.

On Wednes­day, Jahi Mol­lick and Is­rael My­lan were both on tar­get to lead Cen­tral/East­ern Di­vi­sion over Pub­lic Health for a third straight win while Trans­port and Cleans­ing whipped West­ern Di­vi­sion 3-1 in the open­ing match.

For Trans­port & Cleans­ing, Fred­er­ick scored a pair of goals, and Thomas, the oth­er while Jerome Phillip got the con­so­la­tion strike for West­ern Di­vi­sion, who slipped to third with six points from four match­es. The sev­en-team tour­na­ment con­tin­ues Thurs­day at 6 pm.
