Aaqi­la Vir­gil scored a hand­ful of goals as Mir­a­cle Min­istries Pen­te­costal High School romped to a 16-0 blow-out of Ch­agua­nas North Sec­ondary for their sec­ond straight win in the Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League Girls Cham­pi­onship, Cen­tral Zone Di­vi­sion, on Mon­day.

Amiya Cum­ber­batch added to the goal rush with a beaver trick for Mir­a­cle Min­istries in the lop­sided con­test which was played at Brick­field Recre­ation Ground, with Shre Dud­ley and Syd­ney Pol­lard scor­ing a brace each, while Kim­ber­lyn Ram­per­sad, Ayoka Mo­hammed, and Kyan­na Isaac al­so found the back of the nets. With this win, they im­proved to a max­i­mum of six points af­ter al­so ham­mer­ing Ch­agua­nas North Sec­ondary, 5-0 in their open­er.

In Mon­day's oth­er match, Ch­agua­nas North Sec­ondary re­bound­ed from its first-day loss by edg­ing past Cara­pichaima East Sec­ondary 2-1.

Over in To­ba­go, na­tion­al In­ter-Col cham­pi­ons, Sig­nal Hill Sec­ondary, con­tin­ued the goal avalanche blast­ing 12 unan­swered goals past a help­less Spey­side High School, with Seren­i­ty Charles and Nao­mi Wal­drop both scor­ing beaver tricks at their Bertille St Clair ground. Leia-Marie Bal­four chipped in with two goals, with the two oth­er strikes com­ing off the boots of Shedea An­drews and Skye Thomas.

In the oth­er match played on our sis­ter isle, J’Eleisha Alexan­der, the reign­ing “Most Valu­able Play­er”, made it eight goals in her last two match­es with a dou­ble as she pushed de­fend­ing na­tion­al SS­FL Girls Cham­pi­onship Di­vi­sion ti­tle hold­ers, Scar­bor­ough Sec­ondary, to a 3-1 win over Bish­op's High with Kaleah Duke al­so be­ing on tar­get, Gyasi Lewis net­ted Bish­op's High's lone re­ply.
