​Jaden Caras­quero of Crys­tal Stream Gov­ern­ment record­ed the high­est score of the day to help West B emerge as the top zone in the Ro­tary Club of Port-of-Spain (RC­POS) Dis­trict Games for Pri­ma­ry Schools in Port-of-Spain and En­vi­rons, yes­ter­day.

​Caras­quero pro­duced 15 points to be named the Vic­tor Lu­do­rum of the Un­der-15 cat­e­go­ry in the 34th edi­tion of the Dis­trict Games, which un­fold­ed at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um in Mu­cu­rapo.

His con­tri­bu­tion, along with school­mate Ami­rah Greene, who shared the U-11 Vic­trix Lu­do­rum ti­tle with Ne­r­i­ah Alexan­der of St Cather­ine’s (Cen­tral A) and Demeshia Sandy (St Do­minic’s, East A) af­ter each scored eight points, and that of La Puer­ta Gov­ern­ment’s Ra­heim Williams, who was the U-9 Vic­tor Lu­do­rum along­side Ra­heim Mark (St Do­minic’s, East A) with ten points each, helped West B tal­ly a win­ning 170 points.

​In a dis­tant sec­ond was West A with 117 points. The Vic­tor Lu­do­rum in the U-13 cat­e­go­ry, Kaseem DaV­er­ney of Mar­aval RC, matched Caras­quero’s 15 points to help his zone fin­ish as the run­ner-up.

In third place was Cen­tral A with 105. The lead­ing ath­letes of the zone were Zamo­ra Sher­ry of Sa­cred Hearts Girls with ten and Alexan­der of St Cather­ine’s with eight.

​Ear­li­er, the ac­tion start­ed with the tra­di­tion­al march past. The best team on pa­rade was Mu­cu­rapo Boys RC with 270 points, fin­ish­ing ahead of Sa­cred Heart Girls RC (261) and La Puer­ta Gov­ern­ment (255), re­spec­tive­ly.
