The Government is increasing various levels of stipend payments for participants in the On-The-Job training programme to the cost of $70 million, Science Technology and Tertiary Education Minister Christine Kangaloo said yesterday.
Kangaloo spoke about the increases at yesterday's weekly Government news conference. She said Cabinet decided to increase the stipends which has not been increased since 2005. The OJT programme which offer training to 16 to 35 year olds, currently has 6,000-plus participants.
