?A 16-year-old boy is one of two peo­ple who were ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force over the week­end, in con­nec­tion with two sep­a­rate mur­ders. The teenag­er, of Trou Macaque, Laven­tille, was held for the killing of Ghana­ian na­tion­al, Kofi Boete­ing, which oc­curred on No­vem­ber 18. He was nabbed while walk­ing in the vicin­i­ty of Halls Lane, Pel­i­can Road Ex­ten­sion, Mor­vant. The sus­pect was iden­ti­fied as the per­son who al­leged­ly drove Boete­ing's car af­ter he was car­jacked and stabbed in the neck by four men on Pic­ton Street, New­town, Port-of-Spain.

On Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon, NEDTF of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed a known mem­ber of the Gam­bi­no gang, who of­fi­cers said was want­ed in con­nec­tion with the mur­der of Chevon "Tu­pac" Lewis. The sus­pect was held while walk­ing along Pash­ley Street, Laven­tille. Two men–Mar­vin Agard, 31, and Ab­dul Mo­hammed, al­so known as Vic­tor and Bar­ry Alphonse–are be­fore the court charged with Lewis' killing. Lewis, 23, of East Dry Riv­er, Port-of-Spain, was shot and killed af­ter a group of men stormed a wake at Chi­napoo Vil­lage, Mor­vant, on April 12.
