A 37-year-old Aranguez man was gunned down while dri­ving through Ch­agua­nas on Christ­mas morn­ing.

Po­lice said Javeed Mo­hammed was dri­ving a black Range Rover on Rod­ney Road, around 10 am when gun­men on a mo­tor­cy­cle, in a black Nis­san Note and a sil­ver Nis­san Cube drove close to his ve­hi­cle and all opened fire.

The gun­men opened fire on Mo­hammed’s Range Rover, hit­ting him sev­er­al times, caus­ing him to crash in­to a near­by busi­ness­place.

Of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion took Mo­hammed to the Ch­agua­nas Health Fa­cil­i­ty, where he was de­clared dead at 10.15 am.

No mo­tive was es­tab­lished for Mo­hammed’s mur­der.
