Na­tion­al cyl­cists El­isha Greene and the Alexan­der broth­ers, Joshua and Adam are ex­pect­ed to heat up the track when the Southamp­ton Wheel­ers 'Bar­racu­da Track League' ped­als off un­der lights at Skin­ner Park, San Fer­nan­do from 7pm, tonight. Wheel­ers have been host­ing the pop­u­lar four-stage Tour of San Fer­nan­do for sev­er­al years and this week­end's pro­gramme which ends to­mor­row from 6pm, is ex­pect­ed to pro­vide a high lev­el of com­pe­ti­tion and ex­cite­ment.

Oth­er lo­cal rid­ers list­ed to grace the con­crete tracks at Skin­ner Park in­cludes in­form Rudy Ash­ton, Shel­don Ran­jit, Jov­ian Gomez, Mark Co­dring­ton and Varun Ma­haraj in Match Sprint, Kerin and In­di­vid­ual Pur­suits races while BMX events will be on of­fer for kids. The cy­clists would be keen on sharp­en­ing their form for the up­com­ing South­ern Games, East­er Grand Prix and Bea­con In­sur­ance se­ries.

The Fed­er­a­tion is al­so us­ing the two days to help se­lect teams for the South­ern Games and the East­er In­ter­na­tion­al Grand Prix and as such the races are be­ing man­aged on a 'league points' ba­sis, with the win­ners earn­ing points. The two-night meet­ing is be­ing held in recog­ni­tion of Hilton 'Bar­racu­da' Mitchell who rode for the Wheel­ers club in 1958 at South­ern Games.
