National striker Natasha St Louis netted twice for Real Dimension which scored a comfortable 30 victory over Petrotrin United in the Women's Football League (WoLF), which kicked off on Sunday at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya. Dimension and San Juan Jabloteh both kicked off the 2010 season in fine style after both teams secured comfortable victories in their respective matches on Sunday.

Karissa Rooney broke the game open with a 48th minute goal after she sent a pass soaring into the right side of the net, securing the first goal for Dimension. St Louis emerged the star of the evening after she scored two goals in the 74th and 77th minute respectively. Commenting on his team's victory Coach Ken Hoyte said the victory was expected, as his players exercised "more patience on the field." "It was an exceptional game; the standard was extremely high for an opening game in the season. Like us, Petrotrin has a number of national players on their side, but I think the real deciding factor was our ability to remain calm on the field," said Hoyte.

"We went into the half goalless but coming into the second half we knew we had to make it work and we did. I would like to congratulate the girls on a match well played." Dimension will face defending champion Tobago Women's FC on July 4 at the Plymouth Recreational Ground, Tobago. When asked about his preparations for upcoming challenge against the champions, Hoyte stated "it's like preparing for any other team." "Real Dimension is a well balanced machine. I know Tobago has its key national players but that does not make a difference. Dimension also has six girls who train with the national team. Like any other game we must concentrate on our game and improving our technique. I am sure our results will be no different from yesterday's match."

CAL San Juan Jabloteh secured a victory for themselves as well on Sunday, as they managed to edge Defence Force with a 62nd minute lone strike from national player, Jinelle Kissoon. Sharon O'Brien, WoLF's President described yesterday's launch as a success; "We are mindful of the challenges the league faces, but despite all obstacles all stakeholders have come together to promote the beautiful game. I am confident that this season will be even better than the 2009 season."
