Har­vard Club claimed an en­ter­tain­ing 53-33 away win over Rain­bow Sports and Cul­tur­al Club at the Mara­bel­la Recre­ation Ground, Mara­bel­la yes­ter­day to fin­ish third in the T&T Rug­by Foot­ball Union (TTR­FU) Toy­ota Cham­pi­onship di­vi­sion league com­pe­ti­tion.

Har­vard led 17-0 at half time but on the re­sump­tion had to with­stand a de­ter­mined Rain­bow fight back? that saw the home team lead at var­i­ous times 19-17, 26-22 and 33-29. How­ev­er Har­vard piled on the pres­sure?in the fi­nal 10 min­utes scor­ing four tries and two con­ver­sions to seal their first ever top three fin­ish in the Cham­pi­onship di­vi­sion. Rain­bow held the third place po­si­tion in the Cham­pi­onship the pre­vi­ous two sea­sons.?

Har­vard en­dured some?anx­ious?pre game mo­ments? as they were forced to leave out from their start­ing 15 in­jured trio Row­ell Gor­don, Aasan Lewis and John Hill. Al­so miss­ing was na­tion­al Un­der-19 stand out Joseph Quashie fol­low­ing a red card two Sat­ur­days ago.?How­ev­er just be­fore kick off Har­vard cap­tain Wayne Kel­ly was de­clared fit fol­low­ing a fit­ness test as was sec­ond row for­ward Ebo Jones and Jerome O'Brien.
