Po­lice are prob­ing the death of a four-month-old ba­by, af­ter it was clas­si­fied as un­nat­ur­al.

The ba­by boy was un­re­spon­sive when his 22-year-old moth­er took him in­to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal on Wednes­day.

An au­top­sy per­formed at the San Fer­nan­do mor­tu­ary found that he died from un­nat­ur­al caus­es—haem­or­rhag­ing to the head.

Po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tors have since record­ed a state­ment from the ba­by’s moth­er at the Mon Re­pos Po­lice Sta­tion.

The moth­er told po­lice that she fed her son and put him to sleep at their Pon­si­et­ta Lane, Pleas­antville home at 2 am.

Af­ter she got ready for work at 4 am, she said she checked on him and found that he was un­re­spon­sive.
