Dig­i­cel T&T Pro League duo, St Ann's Rangers and Ma Pau booked places in the quar­ter­fi­nal round of the T&T Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion FA Tro­phy com­pe­ti­tion with com­fort­able round-of-16 vic­to­ries yes­ter­day. Down at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um, Mu­cu­rapo, Rangers got a pair of goals from De­von Mod­este in a 5-1 whip­ping of East­ern Coun­ties Foot­ball Union (EC­FU) Va­len­cia Li­ons Youths FC. Mod­este net­ted in the tenth and 50th minute while Kaashif Thomas (63rd), Eli­jah Bel­grave (74th) and Josi­mar Bel­grave (85th) added one each be­fore Ke­ston Hen­ry got an 89th minute con­so­la­tion for the Li­ons.

Up at the Ari­ma Mu­nic­i­pal Sta­di­um, El­ton John al­so scored two goals for Ma Pau and Trevin Ceasar, the oth­er, in its 3-0 shut-out of East­ern Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion's 1st FC San­ta Rosa.

Over at the Dwight Yorke Sta­di­um, Ba­co­let, Joe Pub­lic Su­per League out­fit blanked Ma­son Hall USSS 2-0 with Ke­ston Hen­ry (75th) and Do­ri­an Robin­son (83rd) the play­ers on tar­get. The lone blem­ish for Joe Pub­lic was the send­ing off of coach Ralph "Arab" Nel­son from the side­lines by ref­er­ee Le­ston Romeo in the 35th minute. In yes­ter­day's two late match­es, Pro League lead­ers, De­fence Force came up against EC­FU's Damarie Hill Re­unit­ed at the Lar­ry Gomes Sta­di­um, Mal­abar while Di­recTV North East Stars faced To­ba­go's Goal City in the sec­ond match at Ba­co­let. To­day, La Brea All Stars will en­ter­tain Queen's Park CC at the La Brea Recre­ation Ground from 7pm while the two re­main­ing round-of-16 match­es will take place on Fri­day De­cem­ber 10 at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya.

In the fea­ture en­counter, FA Tro­phy hold­ers bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic and ri­vals San Juan Jabloteh will lock horns from 7pm in an all-Pro League clash while two hours ear­li­er, Cale­do­nia AIA plays De­fence Force Su­per League squad.
