TIMOTHY: DR. EARL ERROL

TIM­O­THY: DR. EARL ER­ROL of Port of Spain died fol­low­ing an ex­tend­ed ill­ness on Jan­u­ary 19th, 2014 in Kingston, Ja­maica. He was 82 years old and was the son of the late Irene Tim­o­thy-Ab­bot and grand­son of the late Edgar and Delmi­na Tim­o­thy of Ma­yaro. Dr. Tim­o­thy grad­u­at­ed from St. Mary's Col­lege in Port of Spain be­fore re­ceiv­ing un­der­grad­u­ate and grad­u­ate de­grees at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Guelph in Cana­da and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­con­sin at Madi­son in the US. His ca­reer in Trinidad in­clud­ed Di­rec­tor of the East­ern Caribbean In­sti- tute of Agri­cul­ture and Forestry (ECI­AF), Di­rec­tor of Ex­ten­sion at the Min­istry of Agri­cul­ture; and Lec­tur­er in the Fac­ul­ty of Agri­cul­ture at UWI, St. Au­gus­tine. He was an avid Car­ni­val mas­quer­ad­er, play­ing lead­ing roles with the late Ken Mor­ris for many years and lat­er with Pe­ter Min­shall be­fore be­com­ing an of­fi­cial with the Na­tion­al Car­ni­val Bands As­so­ci­a­tion. Dr. Tim­o­thy is sur­vived by his wife He­len Pyne-Tim­o­thy, chil­dren Rae Tim­o­thy of Chica­go, Robin Pyne Tim­o­thy of Port of Spain and Leslie Tim­o­thy of New York City, and one grand­child.
