Road March King Mical Teja is continuing his winning ways. Last weekend, he paid tribute to a rising promoter with a sizzling performance alongside the Temperature band to headline and close the Zèle Cooler Fete.
The ever-popular Sound Forge venue, off Mucurapo Road, exploded with Carnival energy on Saturday night, as Zèle Events hosted their first event of the 2025 Carnival season, assembling hundreds of loyal, mature and party-hungry patrons for their first jump up of the new year.
Teja was joined onstage by Viking Ding Dong, GBM Nutron, and a pair of new opening acts. Patrons enjoyed the music along with complimentary drinks and cocktails.
Zèle Events founder Nariba Robinson said Saturday’s instalment would be the last of its kind, as she plans to introduce a new concept and format to the event, which began as her oversubscribed birthday party many years ago and has since evolved into a full-fledged event management and promotion enterprise.
Their next event is a collaborative, semi-inclusive brunch with Arcc Events scheduled for February 2 at Sound Forge from 12 noon entitled Berry Brunch — The Sweetest Jam.
