It’s an event on the Carnival calendar which many women look forward to.
Ladies Night Out returns after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
Put on by Randy Glasgow Productions, it is being held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) on January 27 from 6 pm
“We felt NAPA was ideal for the ladies,” said Glasgow.
“It’s a controlled and safe venue where the ladies can park their cars and walk to the show. The venue is fully lit and there will be security to ensure that women do not have any issues walking to and from their cars.”
Glasgow said the concert for Ladies Night Out stemmed from a need to celebrate women in this country.
“Women work every hour of the day. If there were 25 hours in the day, they would work 25 hours, too,” he said.
“I wanted to create an event to show thanks to women, to treat them special.”
Ladies Night Out has always been an event where fashion meets soca.
A fitting theme for the 2024 edition–NAPA In White.
“The ladies will be treated to a red carpet experience when they enter,” he added.
“It’s an event where women bring out their best–fashion, hair, make-up.
“Women come out with their crews and have a wonderful time. We want to ensure this happens.”
Soca star Nadia Batson is carded to bring a full performance with her band.
Performers include Mical Teja, Farmer Nappy, Iwer George, Baron, Superblue, Crazy, Sekon Sta, Teddyson John, Terri Lyons, Swappi and Orlando Octave.
