An audience of more than 75,000 joined in recently when local group Gates Praise Music hosted a live stream worship experience, Worship Without Walls—The Borderless Experience.
The event, aimed at bringing hope into homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, featured groups and artistes from 14 countries across the Caribbean and Africa. Representatives from each nation ministered for approximately ten minutes, presenting songs of hope.
It climaxed with the Gates Praise Music cover song, Hope of Nations, which was written by Mikhail Shah, collaboratively sung and recorded by all the participating countries.
This song is now available on YouTube – Hope of Nations WWW7 the borderless experience.
According to Facebook records, the event drew more than 12,000 and 1,100 shares.
“We believe that as we worship, and persons experience the presence of God, the human spirit is lifted, and lives changed, stated a release from the group about the online event.
Gates Praise made up of praise and worship leaders from among the 80-plus First Church of the Open Bible congregations in T&T, was founded by Rev Cecil Quamina of the First Church of the Open Bible in San Fernando.
He was inspired in 1983 by a prophetic word from God found in Isaiah 60:18, “You shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.”
Since its establishment, the group has been on a mission to “reach the world by using our praise and worship to tell our unique, Caribbean stories through live concerts, audio and video productions, books, seminars, workshops and any other appropriate medium of communication.”
