Five days after a cyber attack halted sales at Massy Stores across the country, the company’s Massy Card system is still offline. In a message to customers sent via email, the company said, “Currently, the Massy Card Trinidad system is not fully operational. Massy Cardholders can still earn points on their purchases using any of the following options
1. Emailing a photo of your entire receipt and your Massy Card number (on the back of the card) to info.tt@massycard.com,
2. Leaving a hard copy of the receipt (after taking a photo for your records), with the Massy Card number, with the Front End team who will ensure that the equivalent value of points earned on your purchase is credited to your account, or
3. Contacting us at 737-1669 for information.”
The company issued an apology to TTARP cardholders, who also would have accessed discounts through the system.
Massy said,” As soon as our full services resume, we will credit your account with the equivalent points value (3 per cent of your bill). Please keep a copy of your bill and follow the above instructions to ensure that your Massy Card account is credited. Further, at this time we are unable to process Massy Card redemptions or Gift Card transactions.”
Following last Thursday’s attack, Massy Stores gradually opened key branches on Friday. The supermarket chain then reopened all of its branches on Sunday.
