There have been two new COVID-19 deaths in Tobago over the past 24 hours, which means the total number of deaths on the island now stands at 244.
That’s according to the update for Tuesday 1st March 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
In addition, the Division is confirming one deceased person was not vaccinated against COVID-19, while the other was fully vaccinated against the disease.
The Division also reports there are 39 additional COVID-19 cases in Tobago, bringing the island’s current active infections to 320.
Currently, nine people are hospitalised with COVID-19, six of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while three persons have been fully vaccinated.
The Division’s update also reports that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, is now 6,730.
