Three men were ar­rest­ed, and a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na seized by po­lice of­fi­cers along the Uri­ah But­ler High­way, yes­ter­day.

Of­fi­cial po­lice re­ports say of­fi­cers were per­form­ing traf­fic du­ties around 9 pm, on Tues­day (Feb­ru­ary 20, 2024), along the north-bound lane of the UBH near the Ca­roni over­pass dur­ing road paving ex­er­cis­es, when they ob­served a white Toy­ota Corol­la mo­tor ve­hi­cle with three male oc­cu­pants ex­pe­ri­enc­ing me­chan­i­cal prob­lems.

The of­fi­cers made checks of the ve­hi­cle, which re­sult­ed in the dis­cov­ery of five pack­ages wrapped in plas­tic. The pack­ages were found to con­tain a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na.

The three sus­pects—ages 22 to 25 years—of San Fer­nan­do and Cou­va, were ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the find.
